New G519 girls bike
Just wanted to show the newest addition to my G519 stable. The bike on the left is the one I just finished up the restoration on. The bike on the right I have had for a couple years.

Thanks Bob!!
A parade or two might be in their future so I'm not 100% ready to turn one loose, yet. But, if the right offer should come along......
Thanks
Tom

Re: New G519 girls bike
Tom, it appears in the pictures the saddles are different. Are they? What manufacturer are they and how about the frames? Would the frames be manufactured by Persons in Worcester MA ? I'm interested to find out if Persons did in fact make ladies saddles and frames. I know they did for the men's bicycle. How is the tool pouch attached to the seat frame? Can you post a few close up pictures of the underside of the seats and frames?
Thanks, Bob
Thanks, Bob

Bob,
Check out ebay item 112080676849 , it is an original women's G519 saddle I bought last month.
There are some clear detailed pictures of the seat and the tool bag loops.
Dont know if it is maker marked and it is away for new leather so I cannot check right now..
Johan

Re: New G519 girls bike
Johan, nice complete assembly. Truly an original. Now I know that the woman's seat frame had the tool bag loops for attaching the bag. Truly a nice example. I'm surprised you are recovering this. I'll bet that the frame is Persons also.

Bob,
The seats are the same. Just look different in the pics. Both are Persons seat pans and frames. I don't believe there is a size difference between the civilian and military girls frames like there is with the men's frames. I will get some pics for you this weekend.

Re: New G519 girls bike
Sorry, work has already started and is probably just about finished...
This is a seat which will be used and ridden on my women's G519...
I thought about keeping it, but it would just be laying in the closet... Will keep the original leather as example...

Re: New G519 girls bike
Tom, do both of the girl's saddles have the tool bag loops on the frame?

Re: New G519 girls bike
The bike on the left has the loops. The other one does not. I had pieced together that seat with assorted parts. I do have the correct spring assembly but never got around to replacing it. One of these days I will but I'm a bit Lazy.
