GPA trailer wiring provisions.

Post by rjbeamer » Fri Nov 18, 2016 10:47 am

Good day GPA Folks. I know very little about GPA's and the other day the topic of GPA's having 12 volt systems came up. What is the procedure when towing a trailer as most of the trailers or towed equipment that a GPA would tow had 6 volt lights. Or maybe a better question would be did the GPA have any provision for trailer wiring hook up? Thanks

Roger

I have 2 later model GPA's and neither have a trailer wiring connector port. I imagine that once in the water it could short out. Also the voltage disparity and the short production run probably added up to a non-priority, I don't think there was ever an MWO kit offered either to add the connector. David
Any other spacecraft or missile owners out there?

Also the voltage disparity and the short production run and the rarity of a GPA ever pulling a trailer probably added up to a non-priority. Thanks David. I was assuming that they did not have a wiring provision.

Roger.
