Question about value of GPA-2338 motor

Post by HunterL » Mon Nov 13, 2017 4:45 am

Hello, a few years back I bought a Willy’s MB for restoration. Upon looking everything over I noticed the motor is stamped GPA-2338. Well I’ve been toying with the idea for a while about trading/selling the GPA motor for an MB motor but I honestly have no idea about the value. Would it be worth it to sell the GPA motor or keep it as part of my Jeeps history? The engine runs like a top.

To the owner of GPA 2338 it is priceless, to others its worth what a GPW engine is worth unless it has some of the GPA bits on it, such as the GPA air intake stamped GPA and has plugs for the wiper vacuum take off... other little brackets such as the PTO or some of the water proofing kit would add value as well.
