The grooved springs are made by Liggett, they appeared on Jeeps somewhere around late 52, early 53.

I may have what you need. I bought an m38a1 for parts in the dark at a junk yard one night & when my son got it home I thought it odd that it had ROUND pedals in it! looks like bubba put an a1 body on a wagon / pickup chassis, a real hack job! let me look when I get home.

I noticed one of my M416 trls has the grooved springs like you are looking for. Just another option for you to look at. Good luck!

921107 Grooved was offered as the HD
926712 was Std duty.

Your best bet is the Jeep Junk Yard route or consider a CJ-3A Spring.

We had no idea that a HD grooved front spring was that rare. We have been looking for almost a year. Has anyone ever tried to weld a broken spring leaf? Thanks

Did you try Walcks? You don't have to install a grooved Liggett leaf.
And you do know that the Main Leaf from the MB CJ-2A, CJ-3A will interchange and that you can install the complete CJ-2A, CJ-3A, CJ-3B Spring with no problem. You can also install the 10 Leaf Springs from a M-100 and M-416, that would be my suggestion to just install a matched set from the M-100/M-416 Trailer.
Best to forget searching for NOS OEM Willys Mather or Liggett.
