Are they 3/4" Hex or 13/16" Hex, Late 40's CJ's and up went 13/16" hex while the MB thru M-38A1 stayed with 3/4".

i will take... plz pm me payment info...thx

Ben, I dont want to enter into an argument, rather positive discussion, but are you certain regarding how long the 3/4" lugs remained in service?

The "early" and "late" versions of the CJ2A BOM's only list a single part number for for right lug nuts and a single number for left, and in the specs and drawings they clearly state 13/16"......

Early CJ-2A used the same 3/4" A-475 and A-476 hex as MB (Check the CJ-2A parts manual) at some point 641952 LH, and 641953 RH appeared and was installed thru Jeep 168642, these should also be 3/4" Hex. The change to 13/16" Hex occurred after Jeep 168642, the 636035 LH and 653516 RH was installed, these are indeed 13/16" Hex.

Let me know what you find out. Check out intact 45, 46, 47 CJ-2A Jeeps and note the 3/4" Hex.
I don't know if Westerman's book has a note on the nuts, but I do know that the wheel nuts changed size at some point.

If you really want to do a simple check, lookup the Wheel Nut Wrenches A-348, and 645609, the CJ-2A/CJ-3A Parts Books will note the Serial Numbers of the Jeeps they applied to.

A lot of the information I quote comes from experience on new or intact Jeeps of the period, the information published by Jeep researchers such as Nabholtz, White, Joe Friday, Westerman, Tom, Mark T. confirms or fills in the blanks.
