3T Nylon Cord. These have been out of production for a while.
Will consider new Goodyear 600X16 NDT's as trades.

When was the tire manufactured, or how old is the rubber?

Tire is not here to get codes from. Wil get later It is 3-T Nylon cord and they have been out of production for years. It is not cracked or stiff. Are you looking for Goodyear 7.00X 15 All Service? I believe I may have a used one with plenty of tread.

The reason I ask is regardless of how the tire is stored, rubber deteriorates and even though the tread may be intact, the tire could fail when driven. If the tire is years old, it may only be good for static display.

There will always be two sides to this debate, I have Goodyear 6.00 X 16 6PR NDT's from GANS and installed on my MB in 71 that have plenty of tread left with no signs of deterioration. Also have 60's era surplus 7.50 X 20 U.S Royals I installed on my CCKW in 93, they show no signs of age yet. Many of us have 20+ year old tires on our MV's and very few throw them away because of age. Have a complete set of 5 NOS Good Year 7.00 X 16 NDCC tires surplused in the 80's and have a waiting list of M-38A1 owners that have offered $1000 for them. The Maine National Guard had M-123 A1C 10 Ton Tractors with 1944 Dated 14.00 X 24 tires as late as 1995
I have been around the Jeep and OEM Jeep tire sales since Jeeps first came on the market and have yet to see Jeep Owners remove their useable Goodyear NDT's due to age.

It would be appreciated that this offer for a rare NOS 7.00 X 15 Goodyear OEM Tire not be turned into a circus with experts crawling out of the woodwork, two of my offers for MV items have gone that route in recent weeks.

A gentleman here in Australia had four ford ww2 vintage jeep tires. He sold three under the proviso that they only be used for display.

He kept one for display on his GPA.

Is you life or vehicle worth new tires.

Have you taken the time to check to see how old the tire is? Still curious.

Ben,
I believe that the "crawling circus" you mentioned above may come from you're not answering directly. I was interested in the age of the tire. You said you'd provide that information. I've been patiently waiting.

I cannot explain this any better. It would probably help, that if you don't want to answer questions directly, just say, "No, I don't have that information," or "I don't know."

In February 2008, the owner of a 1998 Ford Explorer in Georgia needed a new tire for his SUV and ended up buying a used one. When he was driving two weeks later, the tread suddenly separated from the tire. The Explorer went out of control and hit a motorcycle, killing its rider. An analysis of the used tire revealed that it was nearly 10 years old.

More recently, an investigation into the cause of the accident that killed the actor Paul Walker revealed that the Porsche Carrera GT in which he was riding had nine-year-old tires. The California Highway Patrol noted that the tires' age might have compromised their drivability and handling characteristics, according to the Los Angeles Times.

These incidents illustrate not only the potential danger of buying used tires but also the perils of driving on aging tires — including those that have never spent a day on the road.

You might want to finally tell people how old the tire is. While you may be comfortable using old tires, some might like to understand what the risks are.
