2A Tell Tale issue (high beam indicator)

Post by USAFpj » Tue Feb 21, 2017 2:06 pm

New wiring harness, new tell tale lamp, new 12v #53 bulb. I have power to the lamp housing that shows with my probe, but no lighting of the bulb? All gauges and dash light work, but this has me stumped.

Does the housing have to be grounded to the firewall for it to light up; like the fuel gauge??

Make sure you sand the inside of the lamp socket holder so the prongs on the socket have a good ground.

Voila! I dig the light, but thought it odd that the company felt it was necessary to have a bright headlight indicator on a field vehicle in 46...
