Post by seabeeEM1 » Fri Apr 01, 2016 5:39 pm

Gents,

Hope you can help me id what vehicles these 2 motors came out of. Both numbers are stamped on the block just behind the water pump housing.

1. #U75511

2. #3547632A

Thanks for the help.

U = Utility vehicle (Model 4-63: Station Wagon, Panel delivery, etc.)

75511 = later '48
#3547632A
Don't know - not like any engine number I'm familiar with. L-head or F-head? Post some pics.

#3547632A may be a Kaiser Supersonic block. Is there an I.D plate on passenger side engine block below distributor or can you see where there was one by the four rivet holes at that location ? Just a thought.

Both blocks are L-head blocks....

There is definitely an area under the distributor that appears where a data placard once was.

The rectangular pad below the distributor was added to castings in May 1950.

Engine ID: #3547632A came from a KF Henry J. The ending letter A identifies a slight deviation from standard bore. Engine SN started at 3500000 and there were about 65,000 built up to 1954. More info can be found on the kfclub.com (Kaiser Frazier Owners Club Forum)
