Been working on the jeep some more today but lets go back to last weekend, i didn't post any pics from then...

April 11 2010

Removed the front and rear driveshafts as well as the Transfer case. Tried to remove the Transmission but was a little more difficult so I will do that when I lift out the engine...

Today I made much progress! I got to use my cherry picker, score... Removed the engine and while lifting it up I was able to take the transmission off. Then came crossmember for the frame and the wheels and axles...

Your frame looks to be in really good shape, that is a big plus.

Went to Tool Up off of Clairemont Mesa south of MCAS Miramar and picked up a new toy. A Makita angle grinder that came with a case, 5 grinding discs and a diamond cutting disc - and the tool of course to change out the discs. Also, bought a wire cup brush for busting rust today. All in all the total was $111... So, today looks like i'm just going to bust rust. I was going to sand blast the frame but i'm gonna see how it turns out with the wire cup brush on the angle grinder... btw Tool Up sales their tools at closeout prices. Here is there website https://www.toolup.com

Lot of places you won't be able to get with grinder that blaster will reach. Have fun.

Was going to use the angel grinder for the Jeep but i'm gonna get the whole thing sandblasted... So I've been working on the body tub and noticed something about the Speedo when I removed it from the dash... the bezel is black not chrome... I remember someone posted a question about that a while back and I believe I said it was chrome. Sorry about that. Check out the pictures...

Does anybody know anything about the overdrive that can go onto the 134 f head (cj3b) engine? I am thinking about putting one on but don't know a thing about them or where to even get them from...
