Hey guys. I'm on a cross country trip with my M416 and I noticed while checking the tires there is play on the wheels....feels like a loose rim but it's not.
Got the trailer in the air and removed the dust caps to find plenty of grease and no obvious signs of overheating. While in the air I shook each wheel again and I can feel the play but it is not bad. The keeper nuts on the spindles are still tight. One wheel had more play the the other. Both wheels spin free while off the ground with no bad noises?
Should I attempt to swap the bearings or is it still safe to run like it is? Bearings are original and were in good shape when I checked&lubed them last year.
Also, are the bearings and races commonly available at auto part stores and do you need a press to drive the races in?

Re: M416 wheel bearing questions
If there is plenty of grease just try tightening the wheel bearing nuts. If you are pulling it at highway speeds I would get the bearing play adjusted correctly.
