Musta been fun trying to assemble a combat rim and tube with NO FLAP in there! Did the page with the RIM info include a beadlock?

Would that have meant the motorpool had to keep track of mounted tires with flaps inside to be used on jeeps and mounted tires with NO FLAPS in them for the MBT?

Makes sense, no flaps is correct, the 16" wheels they apply to for the Trailers and MB's from Willys had bead locks, the earlier solid wheels on 1st production MB's also did not require flaps.

With the first MBTs rolling out in August of 1942 and this BOM dated 12/42.....I wondered about that also Joel....did they mean solids? If so, then the 12/42 BOM is way out of date with regard to when the solids were replaced by combat rims.

But then again....the very first MBTs came with combat rims, not solids.

I don't know if that has anything to do with what tires they mounted on the MBTs but AFAIK they were a "50-lug" design.

It is hard for me to believe I have had the BOMs in my files and have not done much with them since 2010...

I will need to take some time and read them over again as I have a lot of them, some marked MB-T (6-29-42), MB-Basic, MB-T-NOM (7-24-42), deviations and rewritten pages, as well as Material Data Sheets on same. Note the headings QMC and NOM.

Anyway... here you go guys.

What is scarier? That they sat unused by anyone for 55 years before you got them in 2000? or that you last used them in 2010?
