MBT and T3 Axle Bumper Stops

Postby M38A1 MP Jeep » Sat Jun 09, 2012 4:06 pm

I am selling either poorly stored or nice take off axle bumper stops for WWII 1/4 ton trailers.

The rubber portions are in great condition, appear unused. Rubber is not cracked or damaged in any way. Marked with part number 667088 an an F Firestone marking.

The metal backing plates have been exposed to moisture and are pitted, but not to a point that impairs their functions. I have wire wheeled the metal and they are not thin or at risk of falling apart.

The rubber portions are half the width of a jeep axle bumper stop and the metal portion is exactly the same size and has the same hole configuration as the jeep axle bumper stop too.

$25 per set of two plus $5.35 shipping in the US. I will ship overseas, but will have to calculate shipping based on your location.

Email me at m38a1md@yahoo.com if interested
I am seeking information on M38A1's configured for MP use from 1953-?.

I am also interested in equipment and uniforms worn and carried by MP's during this timeframe.

I don't think they are for a G529...maybe a later version of the 1/4 ton? Maybe they are for some specialized application?

Here are some repacks from 1951....note that they are thinner and flatter than the ones in your pics...about half as thick as the ones for the jeep. Maybe 1/2" thick or so...???

Thanks Chuck. What is the ORD# for your G529 axle bumpers?

I checked a 1944 and 1945 listing and neither had an ORD number....the 1945 didn't even list an "axle bumper"...
The Bantam & Willys TMs don't have an ORD either...

If you blow up the pic I posted next to the "G-529" I think is the string of ORD numbers...is "7338987"...and which is also printed two lines DOWN, just above that DA contract number.
