In painting my hood yesterday, I noticed that the air cleaner/fording tube opening is made to accept a filler piece which I do not have. Don't know that I've ever seen one or how common/uncommon they are.
Anybody have one to part with? Were they actually used in production?

They were used and I have one on mine but they were only used on early production. I do not know the years used. Mine is an early 64. I know I have seen an extra one in my piles of stuff but I am not exactly in a position to look right now. Once I get out of the hospital I plan to stay out of the junk piles for a little while. Remind me in a while and I will look then.
this is on my 1960 m151, I could not get it downsized,(I been trying to for the last hour, photobucket changed their format, made it harder to do,etc mark
No, I have the early air cleaner with the screen and flat top. I'm referencing the filler panel for the corresponding notch in the hood where the fording hose would pass thru. If you close your hood and aim your camera the same way, is there an opening or is is it closed by a panel?

Scott, if you are talking to me, yes, it will stay in the hood, sorry.
