Vietnam War era MX-2799 AT-912/VRC Box Type Antenna Base

Post by Blitz Buggy Bob » Tue Feb 22, 2005 2:26 pm

For Sale: Offered is one of the hard to find MX-2799 AT-912/VRC “Box Mount” antenna matching units for AN/VRC-12 series (RT-524 & RT-246) radios. This is the correct Vietnam war era radio antenna mount for M151 jeep and other period military vehicles. The particular offered matching unit was manufactured by Henry Products Company and likely dates to the 1960s.
Item info. The MX-2799 is predecessor to the AS-1729/VRC and has similar applications. Compatable with the AN/VRC-12 series, AN/VRC-53, AN/VRC-64, AN/GRC-125 and AN/GRC-160 radio sets, the matching unit MX-2799 provides automatic tuning of the antenna elements, but has no provision for manual tuning.
This MX-2799 Box antenna base unit is in very good or better condition and may actually be NOS. Has light paint wear and scuffs from being on a shelf in the garage for over ten-years. Internal components look new being shiny and bright with all external connectors in good condition too.

First agreement to purchase with arrangement for payment and a reply confirmation claims this Vietnam era MX-2799 - AT-912/VRC

Price for MX-2799: $85.00

(Shipping via United Parcel Service within CONUS $12 to $16)

Payment in the form of U.S. Postal Money Order, Cash or Bank Check is okay.

I accept PAYPAL payments too with no added buyer surcharges

Thank God you can call & complain about the .50 on my jeep. And thank people like me that the policeman on the other end isn't speaking Russian or Chinese.
