M151 carburetor
I believe I have a carb for an m151.
It has the numbers:
13660
And an ordnance number that ends in 709 if I remember correctly.
I don't have it in front of me but I can this evening when I get home.
It's either nos or a very nice rebuild. To me, it doesn't ever look like it was shipped in cosmoline or even used.
What would the value be?
Is it possible to post pics?
Thanks!

Re: M151 carburetor
You have a later model carb from an A2 M-151. NOS in the box they are 300.00 and like new rebuilt they are 150.00. Used they are all over the book.

Re: M151 carburetor
A 13660B is the last incarnation of the Zenith made on these shores. It was followed by the Taiwanese carb that many hate but I have been running for five years with no problem. This carb appears to be NOS since none of the screws appears to have been buggered by a screwdriver. I see no marks on the flange from attaching nuts either. This is just to let you know what you have, I already have three NOS ones and do not need another.
One note is the 09-214 number stamped on the bottom, I do not remember seeing that on any of my others or ones I have purchased for other people. I will look again tomorrow when I find the one I have here in the house.

Rick did you ever find out what the 09-214 stamping meant?

Re: M151 carburetor
I think it's the manufacturer's part number. If you browse through the early-to-late 1960's DS/GS manuals (the TM9-2320-218-34P TMs) you'll see the breakdown list of carb parts which show that style of numbering. By the time the 13660B version of the carb was issued, the 34P manuals showed only the details of the replacement kit of the carb, not the individual part breakdown.Data Plate wrote:Rick did you ever find out what the 09-214 stamping meant?
