M151 Mutt engine and transmission

Post by chucks_toy » Mon Jun 29, 2015 5:04 am

I have for sale this motor and transmission. The engine does turn over with the 24 volt starter. The oil pan has been dented and leaks, it has a Zenith carb on it. The previous owner stated that he had this engine rebuilt by a local mechanic and all was good. I am not into the M151 so I am asking $950 OBO for all of it. I opened up the transmission and it is either a new one that has never been used and been setting in storage for years or a rebuilt one that has been setting in storage for years. The inside looks brand new, still painted red on the inside, no rust or wear on gears at all. Please see the pictures. I would replace the bottom rear bearing under the pulley due to some rust.

Chuck,

I may be in the market for your engine and transmission, if it's still for sale, and if we can agree on price. Will be traveling through your area around the end of May or first of June, so would be able to pick it up, if you don't mind storing it 'till then.

Let me know.

Maybe list on face book market place? I'm guessing you'd sell it on there rather quickly. If you're not on FB, that's where kids and grandchildren come in handy.

Where are you located ?

I just bought a 151 engine/trans from Surplus City today.
I have no idea it’s condition.
