decided to sell my A1...

Post by 199th MP » Sun Apr 27, 2014 2:09 pm

i have decided to sell my M151A1. registered as a 1964, but ken believes it's a 1966. uncut with a clear title and current registration. many pics are available, and i will post some as time permits. if there is a specific area you wish to see, just ask. working RT524 radio, with 3 station VIC1 system, siren, heater and emergency lights all work. $12,500 or best offer. pics will follow. PM if interested.

i have started with the underside, as that is usually the first question.

it's easy to see there is some rust on the underside. i made sure that was shown, as i don't want to mislead anyone. it is refurbished, not restored. most of the money spent on this has gone to the mechanical side, and the MP gear. ask any questions you wish, and i will answer as best i can. i have maintained an issue log book on this, recording all work done as it happened.

Outstanding MUTT! Takes me back to 1973, Mannheim, Germany where I drove M151A1 MUTT Jeeps as patrol vehicles. Does it have a standard siren or a Martin Horn? 8)

some of the takeout parts i will include with this are a usable radiator, working starter, working carburetor, distributor with USGI coil, a complete head with valve cover, intake and exhaust manifolds. there is more, but i haven't got to all of it yet. if the buyer wants it, i will throw in the tow dolly. it's not pretty, but it works.

Yes, I remember the MUTTS very well. Your MUTT looks just like the ones I drove way back in the day. 8)

To ever one who missed this one, put it down as "the one that got away".
I would have been all over that jeep if it was on the east coast. I also hope it is going to a good home.

I gave some serious thought towards purchasing this MUTT, but I am out of garage space. Money spent on a storage space would be money towards a barn. The barn project is on hold until next year. I am trying to avoid taking out loans. Once I get the barn built I may be on a serious M151A1 Hunt. 8)
