M151A2 For Sale-**PRICE FURTHER REDUCED TO **$4,500.00

Post by krussell » Tue Sep 06, 2011 1:58 pm

We have a M151A2 that we bought in 1996. The Texas title lists it as a 1964 model, but it would seem that it is at least a 1967 or later model based upon my research. It has been stored inside and covered since we bought it. It is a "cut" model that has been re-welded. Jeep runs good and has 4 almost new tires that we replaced a few years ago. It also has a new clutch and bearing that was replaced and the carburetor was rebuilt about 2-3 years ago. We drive it on our farm and take hunting on occasion. It is a sound vehicle and starts easily when used. It has the ROPS kit and had a soft top until it blew off on highway returning from a hunting trip on a tandem trailer. We still have the metal framework for the top should someone wish to reinstall one. It is in good shape. it is great for farm/hunting use. ORIGINAL PRICE WAS $7,000.00--Now is BARGAIN at $4,500.00!!

I am not trying to be smart but you want 7 grand for a cut mutt that does not have a single straight panel on it and no top. Not to mention the left rear is mangled. I don't think you are going to get to many takers. JMHO.

Thanks for thoughts, Rick. Asking Price was what someone told us it should be worth to a willing buyer. What do you "think" its fair market value should be? We are interested in selling it but do not have too as we continue to use the vehicle on the farm.

The title really is a mis-match...It's a M-151 A2, which would make it a 1970's model, "I believe". Just my 2 cents.
Hey guys, what year did A2's come out ???

I try not to get involved with price recommendations on the open forums. Think about it, if it were yours and I recommended a much lower price and then any bites you had before that dried up wouldn't you be a little upset? As far as the title, yes it is an A2 with a A1 title but at least it has a title.

Fight, what fight? I gave you the answer you wanted Pard. I swear, you'd gripe if they wanted to hang ya with a new rope. Have you driven your MUTT lately? We're having a USO Show at the Gardner, KS., Historical Museum, Saturday, 09/24/11, 1230 - 1700 hours. The museum is on the north side of Main Street, 2 blocks west of Center Street. Bring your MUTT and yourself along. See you there. P.S. Let me know if you need grid coordinates. 8)
