Nancy said some Guy from NE Nebraska (sleeper cell), in the Army Reserves bought it. I say sleeper cell, because I don't think has ever posted on here before...BUT, could be a member too. Who knows.

The sell of the MUTT was not limited to the G503 only. I'm glad the Army Reservist bought it, as he/she will probably do a good restoration. 8)

True, but she could have told me I only needed another 500.00 to buy it. (banging my head on the wall). No hard feelings.

Jeeps are like good looking women and street cars. You miss this one, and another will be along shortly! 8)

Hello, the fire:

I am the guy who bought the MUTT from Nancy. Actually I am in the NE Army National Guard, not reserves.

I can not really do a lot of posting to the forum because I am deployed in Afghanistan.
I didn't quite understand the "sleeper cell" comment. Am I getting slammed here?
The MUTT was for sale for 2 years before I bought it. That should have been plenty of time for others to make a deal.

It will be restored and used correctly.
When it is done, it will be used for my VFW post and Am Legion post for our fair parades, Veteran's Day activities and Memorial Day ceremonies.

Still pondering "sleeper cell",

Take it easy Gregg, There was no malice intended there I am sure. It was just his way of saying someone who did not belong to the forum. If I am selling something and I get multiple offers then the highest gets it. I am not going to track down everyone else and say "you need this much more". That would create a bidding scenario which is not what Nancy was looking for. If I am selling something that has generated a lot of interest I will say whoever has the highest offer by XXXX date gets it. Period, no haggling or back and forth. Acudanut offered what he thought it was worth and so did you. You obviously thought it was worth more so therefor you got it. No foul there. Welcome to the forum.

Gregg,
I'm glad you bought the MUTT. Let me know if you need any assistance when it comes time for the restoration. I know a lot about MUTTS, as I drove them as a Military Policeman in the U.S. Army. I also owned and restored one. Thanks for your service. 8)

Thanks for the help offer. I'm sure I will get stuck on a few issues. We are very lucky to have a Jeep restoration and parts supply just up the road...But with Eggers Bros, Inc, it's JEEPS ONLY, not MUTT :( . So I'm looking up TM's when I can.

The old MUTT is at a friend's shop right now, since I'm still stuck overseas. He's putting batteries in it and going to try to fire it this week. We'll see what all it needs from there.
If he can get it running well enough, it may make it to the Memorial Day cemetary services.

Gregg,
I belong to the Kansas City "Hell On Wheels" Chapter of the MVPA. You are always welcome. We are having a BIG Memorial Day show at the Liberty Memorial in Kansas City, MO., on Memorial Day weekend. We will have many HMV's there. 8)
