Ok,on the wheel, there is a roll pin that goes in the axle,then the lifting eye goes on.so the hole in the lifting eye has threads in it for the allen head screw plug screws in.the threads are all banged up, what size/pitch is the hole?Is this a pipe thread hole?Anybody have an answer for me? I hope I explained my situation good enough>

I believe it is 1/8"NPT but I am sure one of our other resident experts will comment.

The threads in the Lifting Loop are 1/8 x 27 NPT use an 11/32 drill bit. You should not have to drill just use the tap and chase the threads and go about 1/2 turn extra to get good clean threads.
