Hi Folks!
I have a G503 sized genny here. It is 24 Volts, but does not seem to be HOTCHKISS. Is it US made? For what vehicle?
The green tag reads: AL-GHP 6002 T SI 24 V 18 AMPS
Would think AL stood for AUTO LITE....but was unable to google anything on that designation!
Any idea?

The Army had commercial equipment, such as Generators Construction machinery and that used 24 Volt charging systems. I have a couple of those same generators like yours.

Cheers Mate!
is that a positive ID relating to that code on the tag, or, a general comment that there were many such gennys in other equipment?

I no longer maintain a library of 50's-60's Engineers equipment or I could research the application.
