Re: Alastair Brass
Pretty much sums it up, Tom.
Life sucks and then you die !
We all go through the same ( stuff ) and how you handle it makes a difference for us all.
I didn't know Al Brass personally but I knew of his reputation, and it was a good one in my opinion.
He did his part to help the willing.
Can't do much for the unwilling.
Rest In Peace Mr. Brass !
May you be in a better place.

Re: Alastair Brass
I had the distinct pleasure of meeting and getting to know Al when he came to the States on several occasions. Al was a walking encyclopedia when it came to the mechanics of WWII jeeps and all things motorized.
Al once wore a 'T' Shirt at a Tower Park meet here in California The shirt said? 'There's no shame in my game". No, Al there was no shame in your game.
God Speed Al... I and many others will miss you deeply.

Re: Alastair Brass
It was an honour and a privilege to call him my mate.
I'll miss his Kiwi Vs Aussie humour , the tricks we played on each other, the bets when Australia played New Zealand in Rugby, and cricket,
and the phone calls halfway through a game. His company when ever we went places. .somethings I will keep for the rest of my life... Bloody good memories....

Re: Alastair Brass
Yep really sad news. Al was a great wealth of knowledge and always keen to give advice when needed. I will miss visiting him for parts, advice and humor.
Rest in peace Al.
