Understand how system parts interact with one another. GOOD parts can then be established & the NOT GOOD problem/s part/s isolated for repair or replacement.

Very nice story. I am always amazed that one can jump between various fighters and bombers, start them, take off, navigate then safely land, changing between types frequently. Sure, flying is flying, but each type has quirky idiosyncrasies, which when not properly tended to can have fatal consequences.
