Camp Gridley 12-15 Apr 18

Post by The Fireman » Sat Jan 27, 2018 7:07 pm

To all,

Just found out that the Northern Recon Group will be hosting a spring meet at the Butte County Fairgrounds in Gridley, CA. The usually have a fall meet, but now they are doing a spring meet. No reservations, just show up. Two choices of camp sites, RV hookups $30 per night, Tent camping $15 per night. RV hookups have water, electricity and sewer. Showers are available at the fairgrounds.

For more information, contact:
Fred Kennedy (209) 639-9724

Motels are available in Gridley, Oroville, Yuba City, Marysville, Chico all of which are in a reasonable commute distance.

Two road trips have been planned for this event and of course a swap meet for the buying and selling of goodies.

I have nothing to do with the organization of this event, I am just passing the word along,

Gridley fairgrounds: 199 E Hazel St, Gridley, CA. Look for the RV park inside the fairgrounds. Entrance could be off East Gridley Road.

I had an excellent time there largely due to many of my favorite people being there. Smaller attendance than I expected, but it was the first spring event for this venue. If your goal was to spend most of the day pursuing for parts it might not have been your perfect trip.

I like the informal camping arrangement. Nice and spread out. There was a good projector with a large screen and decent sound system playing the flix we all love. Dunkirk was on sat night.

IMHO the NRG dida bang up job.
