Yeah seen that - looks like a normal 75 year old rusted wheel.

Might be a little high price on that rim but it's in decent condition. If it were mine I would take it to one of the machine shops I work with and they can repair the lug nut holes for about $50 a rim. I had 5 original combat rims refurbished there recently and am going to drop off 5 more real soon. In the end, I guess a repaired original is still better than running a reproduction...which run $200 a rim.
I agree though, eBay prices are making it harder to to perform economical restorations on our g503's since most sellers use eBay as the benchmark. They forget that after the eBay listing fee, the eBay final value fee and the PayPal fee, they're loosing at least 10% of the final sale price. Admittedly, I've had to bite the bullet on more than one occasion in order to obtain items I need.

Sorry for the confusion. The price was OK. It was that he listed it as NEW with storage wear. New in 1942 before it ran on the vehicle for 75 plus years and then was repainted countless times....Michael O. wrote: ↑Wed Nov 01, 2017 12:48 pmMight be a little high price on that rim but it's in decent condition. Re: People are crazy
Oh, and speaking of 50 dollars Micheal, I believe congratulations are in order. I was goofing on craigslist here in OKC and found this beauty for 50 bones. I would have had to pay 35 just for shipping. This thing is perfect. Even around the valve stem. This is probably due to the Ireland trip and kissing that nasty Blarney Stone....
