You might go on-line and check out a place called, Goodson's.
I have their catalog but not with me.
They sell head and block repair tools and equipment.

Thanks, I have done business with Goodsons over the years for machine tools. What I actually would like to find is a Lisle 41300 Valve Guide Knurling Kit to add to my MV repair tools. Not all engine repairs are listed in the applicable TM-9's and Jeep factory service manuals. Many of these special tools are labor savers and allow for a little more "stretch" to a Jeeps life.

I looked up the Goodson knurling tool. Looks like a Thread Tap. Run it through the guide and ream back to size.
The local machine shop had a guide knurling set. It had a fixture that slipped over the top of the guide and a drill bit was inserted in a hole in the fixture that made a slot in the top of the guide wall. That was removed and a pilot with a slot in the side was inserted into the guide. A rolling cutter was put into the slot in the pilot and then the pilot with the cutter in place was slipped into the slot made by the drill bit. Once in place, the pilot was turned and the rolling cutter, cut a spiral groove all the way through the guide. When finished, the guide was reamed to size. Not sure who made this one but I am thinking Black & Decker or Sioux. The shop closed and the tool sold. Not sure who bought it. I will ask around if you want.
Not familiar with the Lisle.

Lisle kit I referred to is to salvage a worn .375 Guide I.D.. Keep your eyes peeled for one of these for me, I would love to have one on hand even if I never have to use it.

Yes Sir !
I agree.
Knurling a guide is an option to replacing a worn guide.

There are some "nice to have" Jeep tools out there that come in handy, many are obsolete due to the fact that the 4 Cyl. Jeep population is a lot smaller now than the 40's-60's when thousands were still a popular mode of transportation.

My exposer to knurling guides was on engines that did not have replaceable guides. Like small block Chevy's.
It was much cheaper to knurl worn guides than to machine the heads and install replacements.
Not a problem with L-134s.
