Fuel filter and horn

Post by lillejens » Mon Apr 17, 2017 7:52 am

Can anyone say what kind of fuel filter and horn this is.
Filter and horn came with my newly bought MB from 1942. It was bought in Norway.
The filter does not look like the ordinary filter but on the other hand it looks like it could be from that time. The same goes for the horn.

Bendix Fuel Pump, same as used on DODGE WC and M-37. WWII are cast Iron, M-37 is Aluminum. Believe 4 Ton Diamond T use them. Horn appears generic from who knows where.

The horn is from a Hotchkiss jeep Jens, i have seen a few fitted on WW2 jeeps but their origin is definetely Hotchkiss.

Thank you Mark and Ben.
This is really useful for me. I had thought of changing both but if they in anyway could have been put in originally - I off course would have kept them. Now they are both to be changed.
