Kris
If you are talking about the ones in the grill the answer is yes I have done them in 6 or 12 Volt LED.
I have also converted the Fender B.O. 6 volt to 12 Volt(non led conversion).
Cheers

Pauly,

I'm exploring options for a trailer I recently acquired. If I have you do a set of bulbs in 12v, will they function on a 6v system as well?

What I'm trying to do is be able to operate the trailer on my jeep (6v?) and pull it with my modern vehicle (12v).

Hi Paul,

I liked your idea. I took some burned out Tailight bulb and ordered 6V Led. took apart and soldered in. This is a mandatory upgrade to a converto dump. My trailer was blowing bulbs so fast due to no suspension.

I met Paul at Tower Park a couple weeks ago and saw his display of these lamps, they are very bright! The board is more than just a few LED's and a resistor or two. It's got it's own voltage regulator and a zener diode to maintain the brightness over a range of voltages, a very well thought out circuit design. It's not a simple bulb swap that he does. From what I saw, the LED's are mounted on a board inside the lamp housing that arranges the running lights around the edge and the brake lamp in the center. Much better light distribution than just soldering in a LED replacement bulb! One would be hard pressed to buy the components and make them for what he's getting for them!

Thanks Marty.
Actually the three in the Center are the running light and the outside ones are the brake light.

Hey Paul, I noticed for some reason all of my styles of led conversions. When plugging a trailer in the lights fail to work. Unplug the trailer and they are back on. Swap the bulb to stock and everything is back to normal with trailers. Have you had this problem?

Pat
No I haven't had that problem with the ones I make. Ya got to remember that LED'S are polarity sensitive, whereas a regular bulb doesn't care what polarity is used. And a good ground is a must. Just make sure they are set up for NEG ground. I'll be in Petaluma KOA at space 216 in April. Drop by and say Hi or PM me and we'll make something work in your application.
Cheers

Looks like it has been a while since anyone has posted on this thread, but I would certainly be interested in 12v LED bulbs that will fit in the stock light housing.

Hoping someone can tell me if these are still available, and if so how to purchase some of the bulbs?

Send an email to message to Paul Fitzgerald. He's still making them and I love mine. Only bought them a few months ago.
