New GPW owner in Northern Nevada

Post by G-VilleGPW » Mon Jul 01, 2013 12:54 pm

Hello,

I just picked up this 1942 GPW, and was wondering were to start to see if I can find out history on it if any at all S/N GPW 34023. It has never been titled or registered since the military owned it. The person I got them from used them on a farm, and never on the road. They stopped using them and It has been sitting in a storage shed for about 30 years. It has been repainted OD green a couple times, but is in good shape.

I picked this one up this one and two other MB's and couple weeks later dug another 42' GPW tub out of the NV desert. I ended up selling both MBs the red on and white one. I'm keeping my GPW and the tub I found as well. I just changed oil, new 6-volt battery flushed fuel tank, and it fired right up. I had the top folded up under the passenger seat.

Red one is MB, Green one GPW
