At home Today. Listening to 40's music. I finally have time to work on the restoration of my 1942 Ford Jeep. Rebuilding the Rear differential with some badly needed parts.

Rebuilt and installed the Steering Link in today with the help of a good friend here on the, "G" Thank you Ed Scott. Manual says the Zerk fitting should be to the right on the front. I feel confident that Ed is wright on, I still need to add the carter pins and grease the ends, Thanks Ed!

Might be slightly nicer with a black crossover and fan.

Nothing quite like a fresh power plant!

Thank you for the kind remarks. I was thinking the same thing about the black crossover and the fan. I had them use the NAPA Dupli.Color DE1611 New Ford Gray. I took it from this post viewtopic.php?f=4&t=167020&start=0&hilit=engine+paint

Yep! Duplicolor new Ford grey, it is the best color match I have found.
The old post was Mark and me!

Cheers, Ed S :)

Thank you,

Did you source that paint on spray cans?

Isn't it amazing ow relaxing it is to be piddling with the jeep while listening to 40's music?

The work is looking great and I too like to listen to 40s music when building my jeep. Small world, eh?

Working on the hubs today. I separated the brake drums from the hubs. Then I cleaned them in the parts washer. I got two in primer, one in the blasting cabinet and another I need to separate. One of the drums has a large caliber hole in it. This was the drum that was on the jeep when I got it. If this jeep could only talk.

No it's not a small world when it comes to listening to 40's music, there is a lot of us old guys in this hobby, Alan.

40's music is much better compared to todays music. Well today I mated the hubs to the new drums with NOS Right "R" and Left "L" wheel studs, then gave them a coat of OD green paint.

What free air CFM air are you using with your blasting cabinet.

Mine is undersupplied and I'm looking to upgrade, what's your experience please!

Thanks,

Blair
