It turned out great, It was a problem with the Syncro. Howard invited us over to his house. After we arrived he tore it apart, we found out it was a problem with the keys and springs. We filed little here and there, put it back to gether and it works great. This weekend we are going to a big Vietnam reenactment tactical when I return I will install it and get some pics up. I need to build a rotisserie for the body. Do know anyone with three engine stands or a rotisserie?

The stand isn't working for you?

Yes, the stand will work. I need a rotisserie for all the repair work that needs to be done. If you have ever tried to weld upside down you will know that It is a good way to get burned. I will use the stand after the welding is complete.

Took a break from the Jeep for awhile. I'm back with pics of the 4LB. axe I restored and cut down for my jeep. I also stamped 'US' on the end to give it that real feel. The pictures next to the axe are of originals. I think my axe is good for my reenactor jeep?

Craze....looking good!

FYI....on your transfer case.....the two anti-rattle springs that are mounted with the two shift levers go on the OUTSIDE of the levers on your jeep....not BETWEEN them.

Thanks Chuck! If you see anything else please let me know. But are you sure, this is the reference I was using? Is this another instance where the manual is wrong again?

The Ford transfer case assembly is from a GP. Note the shift levers are on the left hand side of the case.

So since the GP came before the MA which drawing / view did Willys use for the MB ?

1 - A modified version of the MA ( note the MB view now has the grease zerk for the shifter pin added )
2 - A modified version of the MA which was a reverse of the GP.
3 - GP used a reverse view of a MA assembly
4 - Both Ford and Willys used a Spicer view and in the case of the Ford GP just flipped the view
