I just love what BUBBA does with wiring. This appears to be the original harness to the rear of the vehicle.
Image
BUBBA also ran the wiring in a metal tube as well.

This reinforcement piece was put on both sides under the rear fender. I took off the passenger side to help in removing the small dents on that side.

Received information on my GPW. I inquired in the VEP Ford GPW owners, sn, DoD and reg no. thread. This is the information I received.
Hello 54WILLYSJEEP,

From my GPW studies and databases, Your GPW 14359 should have come from the Dallas, Tx. assembly plant. The most likely DoD looks to be about April 9th, 42 .

Did some work on the passenger side.

Just test fitting this piece. Had to tack it in to hold it. Still some work to do on this part of the body before I weld it in.

Took a little bit of cancer on the body today. Turned out pretty good. The bedliner the PO did one thing it lessened the rust factor on this thing.

I have a patch panel for this section of the pioneer tools. the rest looks good to go. I have to cut out the crap that's in there first.

As you can see most of the floorboard to the firewall is serviceable and from the transmission hump is serviceable until it gets under where the riser should be it has been welded to the riser. I have thought of trying to keep as much as the original floor as possible by making a patches that will be about 2" in width and weld them to the original floor

Image
this is the fabbed in riser that is incorrect. The rest of the floor apparently rusted away and was welded to this part.

Drivers side fender well.

This part here will be patched in to the new patches to keep the original position as it is a pressed in part i cannot reproduce this part. I will scab in a patch for the part that goes under the riser.
Image

It comes to no surprise that this rusted away and was filled in with this patch. I have a large patch piece I made that will almost cover most of this area where the gun mount comes through. Of course it will be cut for the correct riser piece.
