Lee,
I remember your Dad. He was the kid that always sat behind me talking on his cell phone.
Was this him?

Re: Wartime Movie Theatre
Thanks for all the input guys. I think we are going to go with dark pants/dresses with a white shirt/blouse based on a picture we found of employees at a town theater in Arizona. Found an old ticket image from 43 which we're going to duplicate for tickets and stamp with a WAR TAX stamp. We can't charge, but can control the number in the theater during a show that way. Starting to pull together the programs using digital files, lots of 40s shorts, cartoons, newsreels, etc. available. Even found some '44 Captain America shorts. Pretty campy, but the kids will love it.

Re: Wartime Movie Theatre
Just joined and saw this thread...
I work in Silver Spring, MD, not to far from the 1938-vintage Silver Theater. There is a small display area not too far from it with vintage photos from its opening period and then before/after on th restoration. Unfortunately I'm not finding them on the web. Will snap photos with my tablet next time I am there for lunch.
I don't think you are too far off uniform-wise
