Not sure if this is the correct place to post this but this was a bible given to me by the niece of a ww 2 veteran. It is dated 1943 and was meant to be worn in your uniform pocket, over your heart. It was made by the Know Your Bible Company from Cincinnati, Ohio. A special thanks to Martha for giving this family heirloom to me.

Very nice. Wouldn't fly in the PC age now though.

I have a New Testament with a Trident emblazoned on the front cover. It was produced during the 1991 Gulf War.
I'd imagine they have similar stuff now. The foreword, probably not so much.

God gave you a soul.
Your parents, a body.
Your country, a rifle.
Keep all of them clean.

I have one of these, but it wasn't filled in by the owner like yours, nice item you have!
I got what you meant right away, Steve, and of course you're right with that comment. No way would you see that from a sitting president in this day and age. Whether that's good thing or not, I'll leave to the minds of others.Steve Webb wrote:I neglected to clarify the forward was what I meant.

One of the changes with the modern era is many Bibles that go overseas are on flash drives. Kinda like plug and pray!

Some sitting Presidents can feel free to keep their hands, words and names OFF my bibles.Lee Bishop wrote:I have one of these, but it wasn't filled in by the owner like yours, nice item you have!I got what you meant right away, Steve, and of course you're right with that comment.
