Letter of Thanks from Farmington,Maine

Post by Silly's MB » Sat May 04, 2013 11:31 am

I was amazed to pick up this letter from a carboot sale the other day. Sent from a Gentleman in the States to a British Soldier.
It must of meant a lot to the soldier who received the letter because he kept it for all these years right until he died.

Its all quite self explanatory.

More about the Titcombe family here.

I don't know anything else about the soldier except that he went on to serve in Africa and Italy and came back with a K98 bayonet (which I also bought).
