Home Front
Steve, I have several home front items in my collection. I think it would be nice for "G" members to share photos and info about this subject. I think this area is overlooked by most collectors. A good book on the subject is "AMERICA'S WARTIME SCRAPBOOK" (From Pearl Harbor to V-J Day) I purchased my copy from the Military Book Club. The book contains photos of all kinds of home front/sweetheart items. It is mostly a picture book .

That's a COOL collection of stuff! How did/does someone start collecting this type of thing?

Re: Home Front
Thanks, Luke. It's kind of been a lifelong thing. Some of the things I've had for 30-40 years. There's lots more. Getting it displayed seems to be the key. I'm working on it......

Re: Home Front
Kinda expected the 30-40 years thing. I bet this stuff was easier to find then. Is the table period, or did you make that? One of my favorite things you posted is the sign about the tin cans!

Re: Home Front
We made the table from the back half of a practice bomb and my friend made the table top. It seems to work well with the stuff in my shop.

Re: Home Front
I like the oxygen bottle hanging in the shop, use it for air?
