Re: teardrop camper
Thanks Guy! I'm going to use the teardrop this weekend at a military show in Findlay, Ohio. You should build one!
Yes, that is the same unit! They trained from Jul - Sep 1943 in my hometown, Lewistown Montana.
I haven't started work on the truck yet. I did find three replacement fenders and a gas tank so far. (An NOS front fender cost me as much as I paid for the whole truck!) I plan to bring it to Ohio in July to start the work. I was going to try to finish it in time for the MVPA Bankhead convoy next year but now I don't think I can get the time off to do that trip, dangit.

Re: teardrop camper
Hi Alan,
Don't worry - one of those teardrops will be mine!...I may even let you email me a set of plans, if you like???!!!
When you start work on your truck, it'd love to see some photo's of its progress - in-fact, as it gets nearer to her final completion, let me know your address details and I'll do my best to find you something 'suitable' to either put on it, or in it from Deenthorpe airfield...I'm not 100% sure what it'll be yet, but it'll be a genuine bit of 615th WW2 Airfield history from the other side of the pond - funnily enough, I was there again earlier today - I gave them a salute as I passed the memorial!
Kind Regards - Guy.

Re: teardrop camper
Thank you Mac!
I was at a show in Findlay, Ohio this weekend. I got to see Dave Dorson, Terry and Muriel Shelswell, Pat Underwood, Lamar, and the dogtags gentleman (I can't remember his name, dangit.) It was a nice AC12 reunion.
I got a bunch of questions about my teardrop. I talked up yours!

Thank you Tom! So nice to meet you in person last weekend too. Findlay was a great show! Very well done. It honored Vietnam war vets this year. Nice people, nice vehicles, nice swap meet.

A few photos from Lanny Moore's "Follow Me 2" convoy last week around Indiana. Great fun! Thanks Lanny!

Re: teardrop camper
We started at the Ropkey Museum in Crawfordsville on Sunday and drove roughly 500 miles over the six days. I went on to the Indiana MVPA meeting in Portland. Very well-done by the Indiana MVPA crew! I got to see Terry Pitts there. He drove an M-37 on the Alaska convoy.
Very nice week. Only one day of bad weather, but lots of great company and quiet country roads to enjoy.
