Was it captured equipment, abandoned by its former owner, or purchased from a local dealer?

Was captured, then abandoned in Baghdad. Another unit picked it up there and brought it with them to Al Asad. The CSM brought it to us to get it running. Couldn't get the pics to load that showed a couple bullet holes/strikes into the rear of the side car. I figured the gunner had a bad day.
Ther were a lot of Urals abandoned in Iraq, this was the only one I saw with a MG mount on a side car. I saw a few shipped back to the States, you had to break them down to packages of 70# or less, cut the frame and side car in half, then send it space available mail. Hindsight says I wish I had sent one back.
