The MUTT is now registered and licensed and will be my daily drive for the next couple of weeks leading up to the War & Peace show.
Here's my 3-month old neice enjoying her first MV experience:
Check out the registration plate. I'm hoping to really p*ss off the Humvee owners with that letter combination

Re: A2 resto in London, UK
Hi all,
I know this is an old thread, but I'm now the proud owner of this fine M151A2 and Mike gave some assistance with the restoration. He was even kind enough to let me borrow it from time to time
After Mike (rather reluctantly) sold it, the next owner for various reasons couldn't use it as much as he had envisaged. It did however go on a tour of French battlefields that I know of, but has spent a good deal of time tucked up in a garage. I was thinking of purchasing a WW2 Jeep last year, but Mike brokered a deal that got me this MUTT which I'm more than happy with! Its still "in the family" as I'm still friends with Mark (the last owner) and Mike, to the point where the truck is currently sitting in Mike's workshop with the power pack out receiving some new transmission and engine oil seals. To get her through her MOT (UK road worthiness test), all I did was check the lights and put some air in the tyres, a testament to the work that Mike put in almost 10 years ago. Outside of the new oil seals (we fitted a different transmission a few years back in Mikes ownership, and the seals proved less than good in the long run as my garage floor is testament to) and a service, all else that is required is a good cleanup and she's ready to show. The vehicle has not really been touched since Mikes ownership, to the point where it still had the "good-bye kiss" lipstick mark on the dash panel that my wife put there back in 2007/8! She was quite fond of it back then, not so sure now it's in our garage at home...
Hopefully I'll have some pics when she's out of the workshop next week, ready for a local show very soon.
Regards,
Vince (UK)

Welcome to the forum Vince. Met Mike once at the War and Peace Show when I sold him the steering wheel on your mutt.
Very nice bloke. Are you attending the show this year?

George, Did you get to keep the old one for parts or did the insurance company take it?

Re: A2 resto in London, UK
Is that old engine all stock mechanically? I know about the propane conversion but did you balance the rotating components? If not I am amazed i is lasting that well. Three main bearings and no balance!
