Is this a Viet Nam era tail light bucket?

I ended up with two of these buckets but they don't go to my MB. I'd like to ID them (era and vehicle) so I can get them to a good home.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sam

Sam, Not for any wheeled US M-series vehicle which starts in 1950. Those taillights were sealed with either two wires or three wires coming out the back ending in metal or rubber waterproof connectors to mate up with a chassis wiring harness. It would appear that the light assemble is some sort of twist and lock affair. Kevin.

Thanks Kevin. I have a set of them. The other bucket still has the rubber connectors and two wires coming from each socket.

Still do not know what they would be. The shape of the housing suggests WWII. The M-series lights are flat at the rear with the wire bundle coming out through one rubber grommet flush with the body. The two mounting bolts are secured inside the housing, but are not the square off carriage bolts that fasten your set. Good luck! Kevin.
