Re: What is this?
Does it run? Look at the "before you ask" thread over on the g838 forum. Good info for start up.

Re: What is this?
I want better pictures of that fuel pump. It appears to have most of the original parts for a very early straight 151.

+1 on the better pics, looks like you scored, flat top air cleaner, early shovel mount, holley carb?, correct screw adj. seat, correct park brake, does it have 2 vents on cowl? what does the windshield rest mount look like? oval floor drains? rear a arm bumpers? keep the pics coming. Hambone

Re: What is this?
He even got the rare hole in the battery box! And you missed the single horn hood latches. And it looks like the gas tank is rust free!!!

I did see them but you are always a step ahead , I am absorbing a little of the knowledge you have shared over the years.Rickf wrote:He even got the rare hole in the battery box! And you missed the single horn hood latches. And it looks like the gas tank is rust free!!!

Re: What is this?
I only saw a vent on the passenger side. I believe the floor drains are oval. I will check when I can and look at the rear A arm bumpers as well. Thanks.hambone wrote:+1 on the better pics, looks like you scored, flat top air cleaner, early shovel mount, holley carb?, correct screw adj. seat, correct park brake, does it have 2 vents on cowl? what does the windshield rest mount look like? oval floor drains? rear a arm bumpers? keep the pics coming. Re: What is this?
this thing was tagged 9 years ago and has duct tape residue on it from when the guy pulled it into the barn and put a tarp over it.

Re: What is this?
Unless the aluminum tag proves otherwise, I'm going with Rick that it's a matching number body and dash tag making it a 1962 straight M151. Elasser on G838 did a beautiful looking restoration of a '62. His is 2D1487.
1960 M151 Run #1 (Now runs and stops but still working on it...)

Re: What is this?
Look on top of your windshield, the part that it rests on when folded down, are they rubber or 2 metal pieces covered with cloth, hard to find the early ones with all the complete original parts, good score.
