Connecting the Clutch

Post by Bucolic » Sat Aug 22, 2015 9:49 pm

I pulled my pedal assembly loose to install a new master cylinder, turns out I didn't need to but I can rationalize it now as better safe than sorry. Anyway, when I was reinstalling it, connecting the clutch pedal was next to impossible. Turns out if you disconnect the clutch return spring, it makes the job a "piece of cake". I fought with it for over an hour and then I saw the light. Disconnected the spring, got the clutch pedal lever (as it's called in the TM) bolted on in less than a minute.
Don't know if all this is general knowledge, but it wasn't to me so I'm sharing it.
