Ok For all of you wondering. I been doing alot i mean alot of research on the vehicle. As of right now I have found up to 20 different varients for the mods. The Jeep I own is one of three not two like I was originally thinking. Mine is a Heavy Weapons Carrier and The other in one I was unaware of is the same. The one at Ft. Bragg is a Commo Version for Command Support. As for everyone else that says the ones they own are correct yes they are but they are not one of the original nine made in Desert Storm. The others that are out there consist of USMC and US Ranger FAV. I have a copy ot the MWO from Desert Storm that shows nine being made at Ft. Bragg. The offical Name of them on the paper is FAJ not FAV like the Rangers and Marines called them. The list of equipment carried on my paticular jeep is as follows: Radio PRC138 Harris, PRC77, Extra batteries 2ea and short whip antenna, Weapons 3 M-4a1 Carbines, 2 M16 a1 or a2, 1 M2 50cal with spares, 1 M60 with spares, (no tripods), 3 M1911s, 3LAW with 8 reloads behind the seats (finally know what the brackets are for), 1 Shoulder fired Stinger, 2 AT-4 (one on front and one in the rear box), 2 Rucks ( personal gear), 1 Cammo Netting, ten 100rnd boxes 50cal, 6 200rnd boxes .308, 1 can .45, 600rnds 5.56 in 30rnd mags. all ammo was stored in the back or in the boxes on the sides and rear. misc smoke and grenades also. It was up to the TC of the vehicle for a M79 or M203 for his weapon. Keep in mind all of this could be changed at will by the commander and TC for the missions. Most vehicles carried extra fuel and or water but mostly fuel. The crew also had there personal gear and equipment also loaded on the vehicle. I am sure that fully loaded that it was a sight to see. I have a picture Iam currently waitning on that I will post as soon as I receive it. If anyone else has info on thses vehicles all varients please email me or post so I can keep up the research. I know there were varients from commo to TOW missles so there are alot out there.
