M38 in WWII?

I was surfing on YouTube and seen this picture of what looks like a M38 in Berlin, Aug 1945?

I know production of M38 where 1950's but is it possible a test model? Oh ya of course 2AD, "Hell on Wheels" :mrgreen:

I believe it is just a little GI ingenuity. Looks like they installed mud flaps of sorts. I have seen that modification on other WWII Jeeps in period photos. Of course, you can find M38's in many post-war WWII movies. :o

Mud Guards out of scrap metal, even Pattons Jeep had them.

This Jeep is not likely an M38 as it has a full floating rear end? Also the windshield is not M38.
