Camouflage for MV's in the field

Post by Goranwc51 » Fri Feb 22, 2013 5:22 am

I just got a tip about this film, showing how to apply make shift camouflage on vehicles in the field, using mud (!), among others:

There is a Chevy in the beginning of this film and some Jimmy's at the end. ATTA-BOY Goran, nice video.

Not so sure I'd want to be using the paper mache rocks for cover in a gun emplacement. But I could see building one of the dummy tank frames to fit over my jeep and driving in the next Veterans Day parade as a tank instead of a jeep.

Did any one notice around 6:23 time on the film, the Dodge half ton command car has a combat rim on it?

I did notice that Frank. The tires on it are also 9.00x16's as well.

The Patton Museum at Chiriaco Summit, CA has a couple of those dummy tank frames on display. Judging by the terrain, it looks like that was where this movie was filmed. Camp Young, headquarters of the Desert Training Center, was located at Chiriaco Summit.
