Thanks a lot for your words!
I really love to ride it every sunny day.
there are still some things to do... leaking oil here and there, and the coolant gives me some headache now and then, but I think I am on the right way to cure the little probs...
best regards and greetings to the island

Hi Otis,
Sorry in the delay with a reply.
I have noticed something on the jeep that doesn't match the 1949 photo's. You need to scrub some of that front passenger tyre off to make it bold No only joking, like I said before, she's a fantastic and different looking jeep. Don't worry too much about the little bits that leak etc, she is 72 years old
Regards,
Dave

Otis,
Looks like you have a lot of work left to do.. Its time to start work on a second jeep in order to complete the top left photo!
Your jeep looks fantastic! While my favorite is the WWII era MB/GPWs, it is really neat to see the post war use of wartime jeeps being preserved as well.

Otis,
You have done such a terrific restoration on your jeep. The before and after photos are outstanding! How difficult it must have been to position the jeep just exactly right. Did you have help?
Your period uniform looks great too.

Hi Rodney!
No, no, the pictures are not perfect at all...there are some small differences in the position...
This comes, because my 12 year old daughter made the 2016 pictures and not a pro.
But we had a lot of fun and she did it great...
Here are another two from my homebase.
There is still a Cessna L19 Birddog hanging around at my base.
And as she fits into that time period exactly, we had to do a little photoshooting, too...
Thanks for your words
regards
Otis
