My cousin flew with chuck yeager in the 357th. His name was Morris McKinney. He flew the P-51 named "Round Trip Jr."

Ben, Do you think you could give me the contact info for the 357th historian you mentioned? He probably could give me some history on my cousin. He probably knows him.

That is correct, Merle Olmstead passed away during 2008, he was 85. All historical material Merle had was passed on to the Captain Fletcher Adams 357th Fighter Group Museum in Ida, Louisiana.
I do not have the address or phone number for Joey Maddox the contact for the museum. I have quite a few books by Merle about the 357th, perhaps your cousin's name is mentioned.

If he was a pilot he will be listed, much of the ground crew is mentioned, but not much for the paper pushers.

Memorial Day is around the corner, the names of hundreds of WWII and later Veterans I have known will flash thru my mind on that special day. My MB will be standing tall in the parade.
