Jeep on tree
Hi All,
Took the jeep for a little run in the hills today and a tree picked on us. Do you think my tyre needs more air
Regards

Only low on the side against the tree. Rest of the tire looks good. Hope you didn't damage your jeep.

Re: Jeep on tree
First time I have had a tyre flat on the side
Jeep looks ok but the passengers were a bit shaken... the rear slipped into a deep rut and the front hooked itself on the tree and I was sitting on the hip pad. The impact emptied the glove box.
My daughter got out and took the picture so I could see how bad it was before getting out of the jam
Lucky not to flatten my good rim

Hi
I have a stupid question to ask, 'what is a hip pad' in context of usage here.

Re: Jeep on tree
"Hip pad" "crash pad." On the body interior, both driver and passenger side have at seated hip level a small cushion, maybe 4 x 6 inches, affixed to the body wall. But to the point of this photo, that 4 wheel steer experimental feature early in the war would have been handy in the immediate situation. backsink

Re: Jeep on tree
When I first got my Jeep the one 'wing' of the brake line guard was flattened - this is exactly how it must have happened!
