Winter's here now, and a good reason to look forward to the 100 some odd days from now that will allow a repeat of this scene. I have a nice MBT and Ben Hur that rarely see daylight. 2013 will be a good year to display the M-1 Bomb Lift at Air Shows and limber up the trailers and enjoy them behind the MB and CCKW. The Ben Hur is a USMC K-52 that was actually surplused as Army Air Force in the 40's from Dow Field and spent 40 years indoors before I ended up with it.

My original bumperettes were mangled and -shhhhhhhhhhh, don't tell anyone, the ones installed are nice "F" ones removed from a 1945 GPW but no one can tell the difference..
Am thinking of entering the M-1 Bomblift and a 100# Bomb ("Bombs Away" replica) in the Veteran's Day Parade this year. Need a couple rugged Veterans to push it.

It must be hard to decide which vehicle to drive on a nice day. Decisions, decisions.... :D
Is it true real Jeeps have flat fenders?

Fleet has shrunk by two, both the NOS G-189 Bomb Lifts now have a new and worthy home. I have a beautiful M-37B1 w/wn. and two minty restored trailers, MBT and Ben Hur that have not seen the light of day for several years. Ben Hur has NOS GI issue early 50s Tarp that Memphis Equip in Chambersburg sent me as a "thank you" for something I helped them with.

Next project, another large scale RC Korean War era Jet, F-80 or T-33.

My newest MV just loves being aired out.
America's first operational Jet Fighter from back when MB's and CCKW's roamed the roads.
I first saw one of these during 1947-48 period at DOW FIELD, the F-80 is my all time favorite Jet.

Very nice! That's a huge scale model. I bet those turbines sound great when they spool up.

T-33 next, or another F-80 if it has generic USAF markings.

Nice looking jet. Trouble was, by 1950, the Communist Mig were shooting the "Shooting Star" out of the sky's in Korea till we debut the F-86 sabre.

Am lucky to have grown up at the Main Gate to Dow AFB and witnessed brand new Jet Fighters of 40's-50's such as P-80 C, P-84B, F-84F, F-86F being delivered to Dow along with others serving at Dow such as F-84G F-89D,J, F-94A,B.
