It was nice out today, I let the critters out for a few moments to get a bit of exercise. The M-1 Bomblift could use a few more bomb handling accessories.
The M-38A1 was assembled by me in 1975 using NOS components from surplus stoc and from local Jeep Dealer, only the Radiator Guard and Battery Box Cover were from used stock, the rest was assembled using NOS parts and hardware by Jeep Part Number. It has a new AN/VRC-10 Radio Set. The CCKW was selected by me from Danish Army storage and shipped to me 30 years ago. I started saving NOS CCKW Sheetmetal in the late 50's for the day I would own a CCKW. All are maintained to strict GI standards.
The M-1 Bomblift was NOS when surplused to my familys' business in 1949. It was declared surplus in 1949 by the 14th Fighter Group (F-84B Thunderjet) when DOW Field closed for a short time due to the Hobson plan.
The Bomb Cradle is courtesy of Taigh Ramey, sent from his airfield 3000 miles away in Stockton, California. Thank you Taigh.
John Cliche painted the cradle OD using TM9 Ordnance WWII OD. Thank you John.
